EMIS doubles community market share

20 Mar 2015

EMIS has more than doubled its share of the community, children’s and mental health (CCMH) market – securing £14m of contracts to join up patient care across multiple services and clinicians.

Figures released by EMIS Group today show that the Group’s share of the CCMH market increased from 3% in 2013 to 8% in 2014. This is due to a number of major contract wins across the UK and overseas including: Blackpool; Southport & Ormskirk; North Somerset; St Andrew’s; Leeds and Gibraltar.

Performance has also been boosted by the expansion of the CCMH team and the release of additional functionality for users, including cross organisational tasks and appointments and data migration tools for transfers from Servelec RiO to EMIS Web.

EMIS Group remains the market-leading provider of software in primary care, with a 53.1% share of the GP market in 2014, a slight increase on the previous year.

Matt Murphy, EMIS Managing Director, said: “EMIS Web is now firmly embedded as a clinical system that can support a wide range of clinicians working in health economies across the UK.

“It is exciting to report the continuing growth in use of the system, which brings more opportunities to join up patient care across the UK.”
