Business leaders from across Yorkshire attended and debated the challenges and opportunities facing the technology sector. The event highlighted that Yorkshire must do more to promote the strengths of its technology sector.
Chris spoke alongside Bob Munro, chief financial officer at Callcredit Information Group and Adam Beamont, founder and chief executive of aql.
Whilst speaking at the event, Chris explained: “Great businesses don’t emerge and remain without a central and compelling purpose. Gordon Gecko’s greed was, in relative terms, short-lived. There must be more to it than that. It will be different for everyone.
“For EMIS Group it grew from two GPs under the stairs in a surgery in Egton and their search for improved ‘Patient Health’. Now, because we help look after more than 50% of the people in the whole of the UK, it’s about ‘Nation Health’. Literally, helping everyone live longer and healthier lives.”
