Better and safer patient care

21 Mar 2018

Yate Minor Injuries Unit is saving hours of time with EMIS Web.

The unit sees 60-80 people every day, who arrive without appointments. Before record sharing with EMIS Web, staff would have to take an individual’s medical history.

Unit matron Jason Broadley explains: “A large part of what we do involves ensuring that we protect children and adults from emotional, physical and financial abuse. This system ensures all the information about an individual is joined-up, they only need to tell their story once and we can see the other professionals involved in their care quickly. In some cases, it has halved the time needed."
