  1. Suzy Foster

    CEO EMIS Health and EMIS Enterprise


    Skills and experience:

    Suzy Foster leads the EMIS Health and EMIS Enterprise business segments. She is responsible for our NHS customers, and for EMIS’s end-to-end integrated care solution. Prior to joining EMIS Group, Suzy held senior roles at Microsoft UK, including leading their healthcare business for four years. She has a strong solutions and IT background and is a qualified accountant. Suzy’s career has been divided equally between large public and private sector organisations, where she has held a range of senior roles and managed large scale, technology enabled change programmes.

    Suzy is passionate about three things – people, customers and the potential for technology to radically change the way we work and live, to the benefit of us all. Nowhere is this more relevant than in health and social care and she is determined that EMIS will lead the way.

  2. Dr Shaun O'Hanlon

    Chief Medical Officer

    EMIS Group

    Skills and experience:

    Shaun is EMIS Group's Chief Medical Officer. He started with the company in 2003 as clinical design director and was responsible for the clinical architecture of EMIS's flagship product EMIS Web. Shaun's advanced work on EMIS Web has pioneered the next generation of clinical support tools and mobile working within the UK healthcare market. Shaun is responsible for all aspects of clinical governance/ strategy across EMIS Group. He trained at Cambridge and St Thomas' Hospital and worked as a cardiologist before becoming a GP principal in 1994. Shaun is also a director of QResearch (EMIS's joint research collaboration with University of Oxford).

  3. Jacqui Summons

    Group HR Director

    EMIS Group

    Skills and experience:

    Jacqui has more than 30 years of HR experience including senior HR roles at GlaxoSmithKline, Standard Chartered Bank and Accenture. More recently, Jacqui’s focus has been more exclusively in technology businesses. She held the Group human resources director role at Intec Telecom Systems for five years, leading a global HR team in providing HR support across more than 50 countries. She joined EMIS Group in 2017 from the UK business Clearswift, a leading provider of cyber security solutions.

    Jacqui has a strong HR background across all HR disciplines and has supported a number of organisations through significant change, both organisationally and culturally. She has played an influential role within senior executive teams across many businesses in varied industries in the UK and internationally. She is a history graduate and holds a master’s degree in executive coaching.

  4. Barry Bonnett

    Group Business Development Director

    EMIS Group

    Skills and experience:

    Barry joined the senior leadership team to head up the partners and analytics business unit, mergers and acquisitions and new ventures. He has now taken responsibility for EMIS's business with NHS England and NHS Digital, which includes GP Systems of Choice (GPSoC) and the IT Futures programme.

    Barry's previous experience includes managed DXC Technology's significant business with Vodafone, providing application development services. He led a $1bn partner program for Nortel and has delivered over £2bn in new business sales in his career.

    Barry has extensive general management experience with previous roles including President of Nortel EMEA’s Enterprise business, CEO of a BT division, and establishing a start-up, Sonus Networks, in EMEA, which achieved a successful initial public offering (IPO).

  5. Alex Eavis

    Director – EMIS-X Analytics

    EMIS Group

    Skills and experience:

    Alex Eavis leads our insights and analytics business. She is responsible for the development and delivery of new technologies that help our clinical users be more productive, improve outcomes for our patients and advance the health and care system. Alex joined EMIS Group in 2018 when her company, Dovetail Lab, was acquired. The Dovetail team had developed a blockchain platform that pioneered secure and trusted information sharing in healthcare by giving patients greater control of their data. Alex previously founded a successful care technology business and worked in corporate finance.

    Alex is an avid advocate of tech for good. The potential for human-centred design, partnership working and modern technology to deliver better, evidence-based care to more people for less gets her out of bed in the morning and keeps her up at night.

  6. Richard Jarvis

    Chief Technology Officer

    EMIS Group

    Skills and experience:

    Richard is the Chief Technology Officer at EMIS, where he runs the engineering teams. He brings a background in data coupled with application development methodologies to deliver market leading solutions to our customers. As a recognised innovator, Richard focuses on driving technology strategy through clear leadership coupled with deep technical expertise.

    In his previous role at EMIS, he launched the EMIS-X Analytics platform, a big data analytics environment based in the cloud that allows secure analysis of healthcare data.

    Richard's experience spans healthcare, telecoms, policing and cybersecurity domains, and previous leadership roles including working for Hewlett Packard Enterprise, BAE Systems, and Vodafone.

  7. David Gibbons

    Chief Operating Officer

    EMIS Group

    Skills and experience:

    David has over 30 years of experience in operations and technology, having been chief operating officer, chief information officer and chief technology officer at global organisations such as Nike, GE Capital, BBC Worldwide and NBCUniversal. David has lived in five different countries over his career, typically in senior executive roles within multi-national businesses. He joined EMIS Group at the start of 2022 in an interim role driving business transformation, having been interim technology director at Channel 4.

    David has a strong operations and technology background across many different disciplines and industries and has led a number of key change programmes, improving organisational efficiency and effectiveness. David is also a certified executive coach and loves working with individuals and teams to support their growth. He holds an MBA from Kingston Business School.
