CEO EMIS Enterprise
EMIS Health and Community Pharmacy
Ian has over 27 years of experience delivering IT solutions to community pharmacy. Ian was co-founder of Rx Systems which was formed in 2004, building the business to its current position as the largest system house operating in community pharmacy. Ian was retained as managing director following the acquisition by EMIS Group in 2010. Prior to forming Rx Systems, Ian was a senior manager at Mediphase LTD, moving on to work for IMS Health Ltd (now IQVIA) to establish the first secure network dedicated to community pharmacy, NPAnet/Securnet. Aggregating network services now form a key part of the overall managed solutions, which are increasingly critical in the delivery of pharmacy services. Ian continues his senior position in EMIS Health now overseeing the continued growth of the Community Pharmacy business as it further integrates into the broader medicine management and clinical services portfolio of EMIS Group.
Dr Shaun O'Hanlon
Chief Medical Officer
Shaun is EMIS Group's Chief Medical Officer. He started with the company in 2003 as clinical design director and was responsible for the clinical architecture of EMIS Health's flagship product EMIS Web. Shaun's advanced work on EMIS Web has pioneered the next generation of clinical support tools and mobile working within the UK healthcare market. Shaun is responsible for all aspects of clinical governance/ strategy across EMIS Group. He trained at Cambridge and St Thomas' Hospital and worked as a cardiologist before becoming a GP principal in 1994. Shaun is also a director of QResearch (EMIS Health's joint research collaboration with University of Nottingham).
Egton, EMIS Health Primary Care operations
Steve joined EMIS in 1998 having previously worked within the IT technology sector for ten years. Steve has been responsible for building the Egton business and brand, accepting the role of Managing Director in 2011. Steve has led a number of teams completing the acquisitions of Paers, Pinbellcom and most recently Intrelate in 2016. Steve manages a portfolio of EMIS Group functions together with EMIS Health Primary Care operations and sales, and has been appointed as non-executive of Healthcare Gateway.
Patient Chief Executive Officer
Jason joined Patient at the end of 2016 after leaving Saffron Digital where, as chief executive officer, he launched the market leading premium video platform, MainStage and developed Saffron Digital into a highly successful, global, and premium “over-the-top” video service provider. Prior to Saffron Digital, Jason was the vice president of Universal Networks Interactive, the digital arm of NBC Universal Networks International (UNI). He has also worked as global head of product for Yahoo! Answers, and as the European marketing director for Yahoo! Communications. Before that, Jason managed and grew the UK Hotmail business at MSN.
Jacqui has more than 30 years of HR experience including senior HR roles at GlaxoSmithKline, Standard Chartered Bank and Accenture. More recently, Jacqui’s focus has been more exclusively in technology businesses. She held the Group human resources director role at Intec Telecom Systems for five years, leading a global HR team in providing HR support across more than 50 countries. She joined EMIS Group in 2017 from the UK business Clearswift, a leading provider of cyber security solutions. Jacqui has a strong HR background across all HR disciplines and has supported a number of organisations through significant change, both organisationally and culturally. She has played an influential role within senior executive teams across many businesses in varied industries in the UK and internationally. She is a history graduate and holds a master’s degree in executive coaching.
Business Development Director
Barry joined the senior leadership team to head up the partners and analytics business unit, mergers and acquisitions and new ventures. He has now taken responsibility for EMIS Health's business with NHS England and NHS Digital, which includes GP Systems of Choice (GPSoC) and the IT Futures programme. Barry's previous experience includes managed DXC Technology's significant business with Vodafone, providing application development services. He led a $1bn partner program for Nortel and has delivered over £2bn in new business sales in his career. Barry has extensive general management experience with previous roles including President of Nortel EMEA’s Enterprise business, CEO of a BT division, and establishing a start-up, Sonus Networks, in EMEA, which achieved a successful initial public offering (IPO).
Group Chief Technology Officer
Pete has over 30 years’ executive management experience in software and hardware companies, from start-ups to industry giants, and is responsible for the design and development of technology that’s deployed in hundreds of millions of systems worldwide. He has successfully designed world-class technology solutions, and has a proven track record in clean technology, cloud computing, storage, data protection and collaboration fields, with over 150 patents to his name. Beyond being a successful technologist, Pete is a serial entrepreneur who has founded, turned around, grown and sold companies to industry giants like CA, IBM and Microsoft.
